About Sinéad McCoole
Irish Historian and Art Historian
Sinéad McCoole is an Irish Historian and Art Historian, who has worked as a Curator of exhibitions and website content. A Broadcaster specialising in women's stories.
She has written a number of books, created a number of exhibitions, writing catalogues. She has written for the web, for radio and tv documentaries and short films, in recent years she has written podcasts and plays as a way of using the creative process to tell stories.
An independent scholar she has a BA, MA and DLitt by Publications from University College Dublin.
Her interest in Ireland's past has always been a passion from her childhood onwards, perhaps a search from a link to Fionn Mac Cumhaill!
She started to write when she was 14. Sinéad wrote and researched a home-made magazine called Summer Around, which she sold at her local shop, on the North Circular Road, Limerick during the summer of 1983.
This website is a way of connecting with Sinéad, she provides bespoke walking tours in Dublin by request. If you wish to buy any of her books directly, she will sign, wrap and send to anywhere in the world.
She is always open to chances to speak on her areas of expertise, curation and also family history research looking at the sources that allow us to tell stories.
